Bulgaria is about to Double its Potential in the Tourist Industry

The main disadvantage of the tourist business development in Bulgaria and the countries of the Balkan region is the infrastructural deficiency on local and national level. This conclusion is based on an official analysis of the opportunities and deficiencies of the Balkan tourist sector, made by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The analysis indicates that by 2007 the country will double its potential for the development of the tourist industry. Bulgaria stakes on tourism as a strong sector of the nation’s economy: there’s a notable growth of the number of flights and of the number of EU tourists; new destinations are developed and offered at accessible prices.
